Part of flexibility is discipline

With agile working and working from home, this can't be further from the truth. It's my motto the last 3 years.

Busy

Having a 2 hour lunch break- God's grace to me between a crazy hectic schedule.
Increasingly finding fewer avenues/platforms/people to confide my thoughts and feelings.

Verses to ponder

1 John 2:15-17
Don't love the world's ways. Don't love the world's goods. Love of the world squeezes out love for the Father. Practically everything that goes on in the world-wanting your own way, wanting everything for yourself, wanting to appear important- has nothing to do with the Father. It just isolates you from him. The world and all its wanting, wanting, wanting is on the way out- but whoever does what God wants is set for eternity.

2 Timothy 3:2-4
People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, burtal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.

He cares and loves you

Ever got weary from the cares of the world? I do and many times!
It is important to meditate on the right thoughts as the soulish nature or flesh fight to take precedence over the spirit. Some encouraging verses (powerful when you meditate on them) for you:
Ps 107:9: For he satisfies the longing soul and fill the hungry soul with goodness.
Isa 40:31: Those who wait on the Lord shall find new strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary and they shall walk and not faint.
My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.

Ever felt alone? Remember that neighter death nor life, angels or demons, present nor the future nor any powers, neighter height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God, that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Rom 8:38-39)

The right pursuit

Praise God that he says that the hand of the diligent makes one rich. However, it's easy to get trapped in the daily grind and pursuit of the 5Cs (although we disguise it as serving God in the marketplace).
If we allow materialism to set it, it causes us to become self-centred, insecure and discontented. Worldly pleasures never satisfies.
Contrary to that, when move in the Spirit and put God first (not mammon), He promises, "whoever drinks of the water that I give him will never thirst. The water that I give will become in you a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life." (John 4:14)

Matters of the heart

May the joy of the Lord that surpasses all understanding guard your heart, mind and soul. It is important to guard your heart for out of it springs the issues of life (Prov 4:23).
If your heart is weary and not at ease and if the peace of God does not settle in there, you open the door to discontentment and rely only on your personal strength- which does not sustain.
Tap on the strength of God which is limitless. Let praise be continually on your lips (Psalms 34:1), discern the right thoughts and emotions that you should mediate on, incline your ear to wisdom.
Keep and treasure His commands to enjoy length of days and long life. Do not resent, fear or worry as these traits do not come from Him. Have confidence in God who will keep your foot from being caught.
For the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light (prov 6:23). Write them on the tablet of your heart (Prov7:3b)
